When a grand jury voted Nov. 24 not to indict Ferguson Police officer Darren Wilson for fatally shooting Michael Brown, protests began in cities around country and news staffs sprung into action. A short school week and late night didn’t stop these student journalists from covering the latest chapter in one of the biggest stories of the year. Here’s a sampling of what they produced.
