JV hockey reclaims Scholastic Hockey League title in double overtime

By Murphy McFarlane, York Community High School

Last Wednesday night, York JV hockey competed against Glenbrook North in the Scholastic Hockey League Championship. With the best of three series tied 1-1 and the SHL trophy on the line, both teams hit the ice not willing to let up. At the end of regulation, the score remained 0-0, and it wasn’t until late into double overtime that junior Jake Angelucci was able to find the back of the net to help the Dukes take home the first place trophy for the second year in a row.
