On Tuesday, Nov. 5, triplets Rohan, Riley and Addison Bossi will be turning 18. The seniors will also be heading to the ballot box. The Bossis plan to get up at 6 a.m. to vote together and get ahead of the line.

Rohan said he is grateful to meet voting eligibility requirements.

“I feel pretty lucky, honestly, that I don’t have to wait for another four years to vote for a president,” Rohan said.
Rohan said he considers voting a good birthday gift.

“I don’t have a car, so you know, I get at least one decent birthday gift,” Rohan said.

After voting, the Bossis will celebrate their birthday by having dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

Rohan said the political issue most important to him is how each candidate handles college tuition and housing costs

“When I graduate college, I don’t want to have to spend 800 grand when a house cost 300 (grand) 10 years ago,” Rohan said.

He said he still is unsure of all of his election day decisions and needs to do a little bit more research.

Riley said she believes research is important to combat misinformation.

“I think the really big issue nowadays with voting is that a lot of things are generalized on social media, especially ideas with politics,” Riley said. “And I think sometimes people really just roll with what they see on social media or what people are saying and they don’t really look into it and it kind of contradicts or harms the perspective of a party.”

Addison said it’s important to vote to have your voice be heard.

“You need to all have a say in what you want and especially the policies,” Addison said. “I think it’s really important to especially vote on what you want to do and you could be a change. It’s one person but it all adds up.”

Addison said she is excited to vote.

“It’s just a big change and you’re really growing up and I think it’s cool,” Addison said.
